“I am the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me”(Exodus 20: 1-5)
What has been mentioned here is the first of the Ten Commandments given to us by our God, the Lord. Few have realized how wide & how deep the scope of this Commandment – which is limited to just 5 verses - is. In spite of that, today the Church has further condensed these 5 to just one sentence for the new generation. Though this small sentence “I am the Lord, your God; you shall have no other God” makes the meaning & intention very clear, many may not be able to grasp the full extent of this admonition. Hence, Manova intends to explore and analyses the full scope of the Commandments for the children of God. Let us examine here, the first one in its totality.
There is one thing that every person, be it one who worships Satan or one who serves numerous gods, say without hesitation – that there is only one God. Manova fails to understand the sincerity in this statement even after giving it much thought.Even if the people of this world, the different communities, even those believing in a single God, the gods or deities they call god is not the true God. It is for this reason that our God the Lord has forbidden us from worshipping other gods.A close examination is necessary to ascertain if it is really the true God that these people are worshipping, the people who think they are following true God. This is necessary since the Lord has given us no leeway or flexibility to deviate from the precise instructions in the Commandments. Therefore, let us examine the first commandment in its totality and its scope to understand how we may ensure we do not disobey it.
We see certain sections of the Church splitting the first commandment into two. They have achieved this by cutting the first one into two, and joining the last 2 commandments into a single one. There is a clear intention behind this cunning trick – this has been done to criticize and put blame on the factions of the apostolic church. They accuse that the church and the worshippers practice idol worship; they twist the truth by claiming that the pictures & figurines kept at the places of worship – at church or at home – are idols.Our Lord has made it very clear in the first commandment that worshipping anything other than true God implies idol worship. It is common sense that a separate commandment is not nececssary just to forbid idols; that is clearly contained in the first commandment itself. Futrhermore, it is clear to anyone reading the Bible that the commandments are not numbered.
The Structure of the Commandments
They have been generally been considered as ten. The ten may be seen as two sections. The first part relates to the connection between man & God; the second looks at interaction between men. The Catholic Church considers the first three as treating, or referring to the way man should see God. The remaining seven are rules for how man should treat his fellow man. There is a problem with the way Pentecostal missions treat this division – we very well know that 3, 7 etc. are numerals that denote completion whereas 4, 6 etc. are not. Hence, there is no need to expect such a demarcation from our Lord. In addition to that, 3 commandments connected to God also symbolically indicate the Trinity.These facts clearly prove the teachings of the Catholic Church as right.
We are not trying to distinguish between different congregations or churches; but rather to understand the Lord’s Commandments in its totality. Let us come to that subject. We now know that anyone who worships a god other than true God is breaking the very first rule – not just any god or deity – any thing as well. In this sense, if there is anything above God or a substitute for God in anyone’s life, they are idols! So if a heathen or one of another religion is considered an idol worshiper, it is may not be purely because they worship statues or figurines – it is also so if they worship anything or anyone other than true God. Anyone who understands this understands that the first Commandment is one which forbids idol worship. If one is to obey the Commandment which forbids worship of any god other than true God, one has to understand first who true God is.
Who is true God?
To worship God, one has to understand & distinguish who God is. Through Moses, our God, the Lord has also given us ways and means to distinguish true God from deities and fake ones, along with the Commandments. Even though we started this article with that verse, let us have another look at that - “I am the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:1) This makes it clear that no God other than the God of Israel is the true God. So anyone who accepts a god other than this God or a word other than His word will be counted an idol worshiper and as one who has broken the first commandment.
Since it has been said that the god who led Israel out of Egypt is the true God, there has been many attempts to steal the identity of this God. One such is Hubal, the moon-god Allah of Islam. However, this claim was first made by the Israelites who made the golden calf – they said thus about the calf: “These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”(Exodus 32:4). Since Moses destroyed this calf, this particular god had a short life. We know that Islam is different in this regard.
The founder of Islam, Mohammed, has tried some tricks to give the impression that they too worship the God of Israel. The Lord, our God, having disclosed how He should be known, does not want to be called any other name! We can see that He has communicated this through His word. To get a clear picture, it is enough that we examine this conversation between God and Moses: Moses said to God: "Behold, I will go to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you.' If they say to me, 'What is his name?' What shall I say to them?" 14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO AM." He said: "Thus shall you say to the sons of Israel: 'HE WHO IS has sent me to you.' "15 And God said again to Moses: "Thus shall you say to the sons of Israel: 'The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is the name for me in eternity, and this is my memorial from generation to generation.”(Exodus 3: 13 – 15)
If the people of Islam are worshipping this same God, they wouldn’t have changed the name that He has given us, name He has given for all time. The reasons they give for this change are equally fake and illogical as well. If God is Allah in Arabic, why are Muslims speaking other languages, not using a different word for their God? In any of the languages the Quran has been translated to, no other word, other than Allah has been used. How did the name Allah – just one of three hundred and sixty Gods of the Quraysh tribe–how did it become a generic name? Why are even Muslims among Malayalees objecting to the name God and instead using Allah? Instead of swearing or taking the oath in the name of God, they have fought for the right to do it in the name of Allah – this certainly implies that Allah is not God.
There is more evidence to the fact that Mohammed was not talking about the God that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob worshipped, the God that helped Moses to lead Israel to Canaan. There are historical records showing Mohammed initially preached that Allah was the father of the three goddesses Al-Uzza, Al-Lat and Menat; but later denounced them. We understand the seriousness of this topic when we learn that the Quraysh tribe worshipped the father of these goddesses and that god was the Moon god Hubal. The Bible has made it very clear that the true God has no such daughters; and His only Son is Jesus Christ. The fact that Allah, depicted in the Quran by Mohammed, is not the true God of the Bible in turn shows that the followers of Islam are idol worshipers who break the first Commandment.
The same God that gave us the Ten Commandments has disclosed who He is; and this has leaves no more scope for the question as to who is true God! There is no god other than the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the father of Jesus Christ. It is this God who has given us his laws and Commandments through Moses. It is this true God who has made the earth and the heavens and everything in them; and looks after them. He does not want to be called the God of Ishmael –because that is something different.
Idol Worship
“You shall not make for yourself a graven image, nor the likeness of anything, which is in heaven above, or on earth below, or which abides in the waters under the earth. You shall not adore and you shall not worship these things. For I am the Lord your God, a jealous God, repaying the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth generation to those who hate me”(Deuteronomy 5:8,9)
These verses offer a description of the first Commandment; and it is not the second Commandment as some would like to think & teach. To see that this is a description of the first Commandment, you don’t need to be a Bible scholar. Worshiping anything in lieu of the true God or there being anything above the true God in our lives is forbidden by the first Commandment. Immediately after specifying about idol worship also, what is referred to is about worship of anything other than the true God.
Manova knows that many are confused by the order which forbids even the making of idols or statues. The dispute is between people who think our Lord has ordered not even to make idols, statues or figurines and those who think the Lord is not against making them. That He has not totally forbidden making them is clear from the incidents & verses that follow.The verse starts thus: “You shall not make for yourself a carved image…“All pictures or statues are not idols. They become idols only when elevated to objects of worship. The truth is that not just pictures or statues, any object, desire or person can turn into idols. Anything that influences our life more than God is indeed an idol. Worship of other gods is the clearest and strongest manifestation of idol worship.
There are clear indications in the Bible that the command “do not make idols” does not include construction of all kinds or types of statues or figurines. Our God, our Lord handed over the commandments at the time of Aharon [Aaron]. We know from the Bible that the people were busy worshipping the golden calf when Moses came down the mountain with the Commandments. It is also said in the Bible that this calf was made in gold by Aaron. When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron and said to him, “When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron and said to him, “Up, make us gods who shall go before us.”(Exodus 32:1)This is proof that Aaron was alive and present when the commandments were received. However, we have to take note of once incident that happened after Aaron’s death. Aaron’s death on Mount Hor is described in the 20th chapter of the Book of Deuteronomy (Deuteronomy 20:28) The next chapter starts with the caption of “The Bronze Snake”!
Here we see God instructing and getting a Snake of Bronze being made by Moses – the same Moses through whom He forbade us from making idols. When the people of Israel rebelled against God, He sent fiery serpents into the midst of the people to punish them – they bit the people and many died from the bites. Creating a snake of bronze and lifting it high towards the snakes was the solution advised for that. Note how this is described in the Bible: And the people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you. Pray to the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people. 8And the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.” (Numbers 21:7,8)Will our Lord ask us to break His own commandment, one that He has given to us Himself? This makes it very clear that what He has forbidden through the Commandments is making of statues to be used s deities or idols for worship.
Centuries later, when the new Church was built through King Solomon, our Lord Himself gave instructions as to how sculptures should be installed there! This can be ascertained on reading the verses in the sixth chapter of Kings, Book II. What we understand from all these is that statues or picture become idols only when they get elevated to the level of worship. We can read one more incident in the Bible which makes this clear. We can see how the Bronze serpent which was built as commanded by our Lord get transformed into an idol for the people of Israel. See that incident as described in the second book of Kings: “He destroyed the high places, and he crushed the statues, and he cut down the sacred groves. And he broke apart the bronze serpent, which Moses had made. For even until that time, the sons of Israel were burning incense to it. And he called its name Nehushtan.”(2 Kings, 18:4)King Hezekiah who destroyed this bronze snake is described as just in the Bible.
We see here the possibility of even statues or sculptures that our Lord has given us to turn into idols. Even that which our Lord has given to us – by no means should they ever be given a position equal to or above our Lord. Our own father or mother; or even our children – they too can become our idols in this manner. Our Lord’s verses tell us thus:“He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” (Mathew 10:37) We, all of us were born to parents as decided by God; so there is no need to suspect if our parents were indeed given to us by God. It has also been made clear through His Word that these children are to respect and obey their parents. The promise and the command is none other.“Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.”(Exodus 20:12)
It is in the presence of these commandments that Jesus tells us that he who loves his parents more than Himself is not eligible for Him. By asking Abraham to sacrifice his on – the son that was given to him in his advanced years - he was testing who Abraham loved more – his son or the Lord. He did it not because he did not know – but to make an example to us of Abraham’s faith, love and devotion. In ancient India culture, the priority and protocol is in the order: mother, father, teacher, god. They themselves have established that this is enough and more for their gods; we do not have to worry about that. We can say so because irrespective of the order they fix, if the god they worship is not true God, hell and damnation is the final result.
We should take care to see that the statues or figurines we keep in our homes and church are not elevated to a level of worship. Though there is no wrong in respecting saints or asking them to be an intermediary, they have been seen to be idolized occasionally. It is a grave mistake for authorities to close their eyes to this in their own selfish, worldly interests.
The modern form of worshiping other, false gods
Idols available in the market today, cloaked in the disguise of modern technology, are able to lead even the religious away from God to Satan. Even leaders of the church and people who claim to be scholars in Christianity, people who should guide the congregation the right way, seem to be getting enslaved to them. This is an indication to the extent of this menace. One of the most popular devices, out of many, that slowly and gradually lead people to idols to finally trap them fully is Yoga. Manova has already published many articles explaining Yoga and the disasters it can cause.
Few Christians are aware of the fact that the meditation called Yoga is a sin contradicting the first commandment. The sad situation is that even many of those who should be making people aware of this are working as advocates of yoga. Yoga is used a nasty means of guiding people to idol worship by associating it with some exercise moves. There are some facts which are smartly kept hidden by those who keep insisting this is just meditation. In the west, many who have been practicing yoga have already accepted Hinduism as their religion! The remaining is wavering from their position of worshiping true God. The children of God, who can differentiate the fruit from the tree – they do not need further proof than this.
We have now understood what idols are; and that to bow to them or to worship them is idol worship and a sin. Those who practice prostrating before the sun or those who know even a little about it, have been able to understand that it is part of yoga. Christians have been lured to yoga with the helpful instruction or advice that it is all right to ignore the disputedparts and to just do the exercise. Today, there are many ex Christian priests who have now become yogis wearing saffron and worship all kinds of gods in the lotus pose (padmasana).There are Christian hermitages in Kerala today that insult God in public and cheat Christian followers by conducting yogic meditations and camps; this has been reported by Manova. The Divyakarunya Ashram run by the MCBS Congregation in Kalady is one such. Many such intuitions are involved in attempts to change and convert Christians.
Some modern religious scholars spread the wrong philosophy that by worshiping the sun or the moon you are worshiping their creator. If this indeed is the case, is it God who was wrong, or made a mistake? Through Moses, He proclaimed:"And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the Lord thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.”(Deuteronomy 4:19) We know that prostration or bowing before anything is akin to worship. Those who argue otherwise, please heed this: “…and they worshipped the sun toward the east. Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here?”(Ezekiel 8:16, 17) Since the worshiping of the sun it angers the Lord irrespective of how it is done, we need to understand why the Word is misinterpreted, and to appease whom it is done.
Some shrewd tricksters propagate this by calling sun worship as sun bathing. Many do not realize these hindu fraudsters’ trick is to convince people that it is the scientific way to absorb the Sun’s vitamin-D; and then try to proceed on to sun worship! Today, due to the cracks in the Ozone layer, it is possible that unhealthy ultra-violet rays of the sun hit our bodies – this can lead to unhealthy conditions as serious as even cancer. We have to take seriously the Lord’s words which say that our punishment for sin will be meted out using the same materials we use to commit the sin: “For according to the thinking of their irrational iniquity, because some, going astray, were worshiping mute serpents and worthless beasts, you sent upon them a multitude of mute beasts for vengeance, so that they might know that by whatever things a man sins, by the same also is he tormented.”(Wisdom 11: 15, 16)
The idol-worshiper does not cause harm to him alone; but indeed brings his whole society to be cursed. That is why the Lord sentenced that such people be punished by death. Consider this rule: “When there will have been found among you, within one of your gates which the Lord your God will give to you, a man or a woman who is doing evil in the sight of the Lord your God, and who is transgressing his covenant, so as to go and serve foreign gods and adore them, such as the sun and the moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not instructed, and when this will have been reported to you, and, upon hearing it, if you have inquired diligently and have found it to be true, that the abomination is being done in Israel: you shall lead forward the man or the woman who has perpetrated this most wicked thing to the gates of your city, and they shall be stoned to death.” (Deuteronomy 17: 2-5) Those who call themselves the modern Israel should reveal if any of these laws have been ruled invalid. Plus, explain why these Christian ashramas&congregations that carry on with imitations of other religions, yoga, meditation etc. are not chastised or punished. Why were those who are out to promote the culture of rishis and sages elevated to high positions?
Rahukal (the period of Rahu), Gulika, Horoscopes
Superstitions got scorned by society when advances in Science caused the world to progress and mankind became very knowledgeable. However, we now see many such evil practices coming back to light under new labels. It is interesting to note that this kind of black magic and superstitions are given new life under the guise of scientific practices. Today, when we have the Technology to take our MangalYaan successfully to distant Mars, a religious community that is troubled by MangalDosha is claiming scientific background to these superstitions!
It is a mortal sin for Christians, or those who claim to be Christians , to approach soothsayers, fortune-tellers and astrologers even though this is strictly forbidden. Manova will not say that astrologers cannot foretell the future. However, we can insist that it is the devil that is behind this act. It is shameful to claim to be a Christian while at the same be involved n these acts that are forbidden by the Lord. It is the devil himself, disguised as gods, deities and divinities who are behind this black magic. See these verses: "If there will have arisen in your midst a prophet, or someone who claims that he had seen a dream, and if he will have predicted sign and portent, and if what he has spoken happens, and he says to you, 'Let us go and follow strange gods,' which you have not known, 'and let us serve them, you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. For the Lord your God is testing you, so that it may become clear whether or not you love him with all your heart and with all your soul.” (Deuteronomy 13: 1-3). Thereby, it is without doubt that those involved in these acts break the first commandment.
The gravity or seriousness of the sin is not measured or decided by man, but by God! Hence, man has no right to belittle any one of His rules. To teach thus is also evil. If a leader of the church notices the time for weddings or ceremonies being decided by RahuKaal, or from astrology, it is his duty to correct it. This is what Jesus has said about this: “Therefore, whoever will have loosened one of the least of these commandments, and have taught men so, shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven.”(Mathew 5:19)
Those who laugh off horoscopes & such should heed this verse carefully. The word makes it clear that only those who are fully clean and pure can enter heaven; the impure are not allowed admission there. The religious should keep Heaven in mind always – not the altar for cleansing. “But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and drug users, and idolaters, and all liars, these shall be a part of the pool burning with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”(Revelations 21:8)See the warning regarding entry to the Lord’s kingdom: “There shall not enter into it anything defiled, nor anything causing an abomination, nor anything false, but only those who have been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb.”(Revelations 21:27) We know that defiling someone is sin. The word has made it clear that desecration can happen through idol worship and other imitation of pagan or polytheistic acts.
The God who has said worship of other gods is damnation – He is still today, our God. One cannot understand why people of the church still see these acts as triviality. This is what the Lord has said: “But if you forget the Lord your God, so that you follow foreign gods, and serve and adore them: behold, I now foretell to you that you shall utterly perish”.(Deuteronomy 8:19). He has said that approaching astrologers and soothsayers will cause damnation. “When you will have entered into the land which the Lord your God will give to you, be careful that you are not willing to imitate the abominations of those nations. Do not let there be found among you one who would purify his son or daughter by leading them through fire, nor one who consults seers, nor one who observes dreams or omens. Do not let there be found among you one who practices the occult, nor one who uses spells, nor one who consults demonic spirits, nor a diviner, nor one who seeks the truth from the dead. For the Lord abominates all these things. And, because of these wicked ways, he will destroy them at your arrival. You shall be perfect and without blemish with the Lord your God. These nations, whose land you shall possess, they listen to soothsayers and diviners. But you have been otherwise instructed by the Lord your God”(Deuteronomy 18: 9-14)
One has to think carefully why new definitions or meaning is needed to do what has been forbidden by the Lord. Do they think the Lord has made a mistake? We should understand who these people serve - the people who try so hard to show or prove that what the Lord has strictly forbidden is actually great and not sin.
Is Sin a Pastime?!
Manova has seen many people who claim they do all this for fun; not out of belief. “I read the horoscope when I see it in magazines; but of course, I don’t believe in all that” – that’s what they say. Similarly, when they come across a palm reader, they extend their palm for a look – not because they believe in it!
Manova is certain that these are people who take their salvation lightly. If the Lord says DON’T, there is no other meaning to it. What we saw in paradise is the same thing – man ignoring or making light of God’s command. The thought that maybe a fruit can’t be that dangerous – if that brought doom on entire mankind - we should understand that God did make any command lightly. If He has told us not to even visit temples of other gods, he is very serious about it. Those who do not give it the seriousness it deserves and prepare to install idols from such places in our churches and homes – they should be disciplined, however high a position they occupy. Indian Tourism package is the ruse these officials use to lure people of God to these places of idol worship.
The seniors of the Church also play a large and important part in leading children & adolescents to these places in the name of study tours and excursions. The reason for not understanding the consequences could be ignorance about the Word, or maybe impudence.
“be careful that you do not imitate them, after they have been overturned at your arrival, and that you do not seek their ceremonies, saying: 'Just as these nations have worshipped their gods, so also will I worship.' You shall not act in like manner toward the Lord your God. For they have done to their gods all the abominations that the Lord spurns, offering their sons and daughters, and burning them with fire.”(Deuteronomy 12:30, 31). As long as these verses are in the Bible, these doings are sins that deserve damnation. By visiting these pagan or idolatrous places of worship in spite of the first commandment that forbids it, the nuns & priests who lead these excursions are destroying a generation. Many youngsters claim that there were priests and nuns accompanying them. LThis reminds one of these words from Jesus: "The scribes and the Pharisees have sat down in the chair of Moses.3 Therefore, all things whatsoever that they shall say to you, observe and do. Yet truly, do not choose to act according to their works. For they say, but they do not do”(Mathew 23:2,3) Many misunderstand and misinterpret the words which say “whatsoever they shall say to you, observe and do” The important phrase here is that “they sit on the chair of Moses”.
The words, “sit on the chair of Moses” mean “teach his instructions or guidelines”. However, if one says something which goes against Moses’ directives, we are not bound to obey them. Hence, it is necessary to learn what Moses’ rules are. We usually take medicines prescribed by a Doctor, because we have trust in him. This normally does not lead to trouble. Still, there are rare instances when this has caused grief. Even though we are not experts in treatment methods or medicines, we should at least be prepared to check if the medicines have expired. In the same way, when we are taught by the leaders of the congregation, if we do not enquire or verify the source of these teachings, we may stumble on the path to eternal life – because the weeds planted by Satan are present around the throne of Moses too.
The phrases “Throne of Moses” is a symbolic one. One who teaches the rules of Moses – even if he sits on the side of the street, he is sitting on the throne of Moses. This means that ‘the throne of Moses’ implies the words of Moses. Merely writing “Moses” above his chair is not enough if what he is teaching or spreading are the ways of spirits or deities and teachings contradictory to those of Moses.
Do lovers become idols?
If one says that one “cannot live without him / her”, we can conclude that what he or she loves is an idol. The fact is that many of these affairs end up in idol worship. This is the reason why, whenthey fail, some of these end up in suicides or low self-esteem. It is without doubt that God will destroy idols. In the life of ones selected by Him, he will not allow someone or something else to be above Him. When relationships become chains, He destroys those chains only because He loves us. Otherwise, we will burn in eternal fire.
There is no point in lovers growling at Manova. It is not possible for Manova to hide truth, however unpleasant they might be. Manova does not deny the reasons put forward by psychologists for the failure of love marriages. The spiritual reason that is pointed out by Manova is something else – lovers treated each other as idols! This angered the Lord. While psychological reasons may exist, we cannot ignore this spiritual fact.
Manova doesn’t say that God has no place in romantic affairs. To achieve their ends, lovers will not hesitate to bow before God, or indeed any idol they may regard as god. They know very well that this is not the adoration towards God; but merely the search for love from a loved one. This is why even people who are thought to be spiritual lose their spirituality when their affair fails. When in love, God is often relegated to second place! Hence Manova can confidently state that love affairs are a violation of the first commandment, though that fact may not be a pleasant one. We see people who have lost their spiritualty as a result of mortal love – Samson in the book of Judges!
Those who have not loved, or those who have experienced the tragedy of love, may agree with Manova. However, those who continue to be blind or dazed by love may not. It may be opportune to provide a few more explanations. There is one point to be noted before that – that any sin committed is in effect a violation of the first commandment. One who loves God above all else cannot reject as sill y even a single commandment. Therefore, we see all the commandments culminating, or converging, on the first one. In this light, we see a new aspect emerging from the violation of the first commandment through love affairs – mixed marriages!
God hates mixed marriages.
There is a saying that love is blind. When the affair Is at its torrid peak, we can see the girl in the pair becoming advocates of liberalism. They stat preaching that all gods are the same, that being staunchly religious is against modern principle etc., like philosophers. Anyone who hears them would think that these women are behind each and every branch of modern knowledge! You have to realize this that this is new found knowledge for this woman who was very orthodox till getting trapped by a person of another faith. The Bible says this is not unique to women; so Manova would like to explain this the same way.
There are males who have abandoned true God after getting ensnared by love affairs. One of the greatest examples for this is seen n the Bible itself. Idiots announce foolishness in the name of wisdom because they have broken this rule! The world today tries to encourage mixed marriages to lead the children of God away from Him to idols. The people who make new laws for man denouncing every word and rule of our Lord are indeed intermediaries for Satan.
One may ask why the Catholic Church is blessing such unions in church when marriages with people of other religions are forbidden. Manova feels this is so only because people who are impatient to follow Satan have reached the upper ranks of the church. Let us not go into more detailed explanations here since Manova has already published articles clarifying this. The Lord has said “No” knowing all aspects of this issue. Therefore, He does not need new aspects or explanations in this matter from anybody. Manova does not forget that these rules have been given to his people irrespective of gender. Even saints can falter. So, it is possible that when a holy man hands down written rules, the way they are interpreted can be in such a way as to justify his own weaknesses. There is none born on this earth so far who can alter or invalidate these commands, nor will there ever be.
There is another big tragedy to mixed marriages. When one marries a person of pagan religion, one is marrying the son or daughter of a pagan god. The word has med this very clear and hence there is no need to doubt this fact. We are considered God’s children because of our belief in Jesus Christ. He who has been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ will be accepted in His name as the son of God. He who does not accept the sacrifice by Christ is not the son of God. See how the word has confirmed this: “Do you not know that those of us who have been baptized in Christ Jesus have been baptized into his death? (Romans 6:3) Those who have been baptized into His death and thereby worship true God are the children of God. The Bible has clarified that the gentiles, on the other hand, worship and pay homage to the devil. “But the things that the Gentiles immolate, they immolate to demons, and not to God. And I do not want you to become partakers with demons”(I Corinthians 10:20)
The truth as to whose children the gentiles are is clear from this statement. The God who has given us the commandments is a God who can distinguish the children of lesser gods. So no one need attempt to teach Him these matters. “Judah has transgressed, and abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem. For Judah has contaminated the sanctified the House of the Lord, which he loved, and has held the daughter of a strange god”.(Malachi 2:11).Those who open the doors of the House of God for marrying the sons or daughters of these strange gods do not know the gravity of this statement, or act as if they do not. One should not forget that it is the same eternal fire that awaits those who break the first commandment and also those who clear the way for one to break it.
The first Commandment and Idol Worship.
It is very clear from the first commandment that we are not to have anything or anyone in our life considered more important or above God. We also know that worshipping anything or anyone other than God is idol worship. In such a scenario, why should forbidding idol worship be separated from the first commandment? We understand the cunning behind this when we analyse the 9th and 10th commandments. Let us clarify once more – anything that has taken the foremost and rightful place of our true God, the lord of armies and the Father of Jesus Christ are idols; no one must forget this. Satan and his children use many modern and scientific ruses to lead man to such idols.
We have to deduce that it is Satan’s trick to lessen the importance staying away from idol worship that it has been separated from the first Commandment. None of the commandments should be considered lesser than any other. The Word teaches us thus: For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it. “For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” (James 2:10. 11) We know how wide the scope of the first commandment is when we understand that the desire for wealth is also idol worship. Examine this sentence: “Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry”.(Colossians 3:5)

Satan has terrifying schemes to take his disciples on this earth - starting from meditation like yoga, on to black mass and beyond. His people are already entrenched in the Catholic & other churches. It increases the tragedy in that they will not be recognizable when they approach the children of God under the disguise of goodness with schemes to enroll them into devilishness. If the people who encourage the children of God to renounce the God who said “I am the Lord your God, you must not have a God other than me” are people whom we respect as our leaders and teachers, what is our fate?
When you are approached with the promises of peace, wellness and cure from disease, it will be difficult for you to identify the threat and danger hidden there. They have already encroached areas of arts, sports & culture with entertainment containing hymns on pagan deities and similar. Hence, if it is difficult to smell put the danger in one glance, the only way to escape is to refuse totally anything even remotely connected to paganism.When even Catholic priests are dancing away to classical music and dance, who is answerable when innocent children of God are tempted into the wrong path? When worship for Shiva and prayers for other deities are organized and they are kept close to the Bible, remember these words of our Lord: “Pay attention to all that I have said to you, and make no mention of the names of other gods, nor let it be heard on your lips.” (Exodus 23:13) Even if those who tactfully lead you to such destruction are in very high and powerful places, remember that you stand to lose everything – eternal life – and hence, stay away from them.
Chaldeans and the breach of the First Commandment
Satan goes about his business in the most cunning manner! It is thus that many do not realize that Chaldeans publicly break the first commandment. Let us see how they flout this commandment.
It is a fact that the Holy Trinity has an active participation in the Holy Qurbana. The Lord said: Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father has sent me and I live because of the Father, so also whoever eats me, the same shall live because of me.”(John 6:57, 58) This bread was given to us with words, “Eat me”. It is not merely for the brief period that Jesus stays in the divine mercy of the Eucharist. Whomsoever propagates otherwise are people who reject God and the Son of God and Their teachings. The followers of God must recognize those who want to remove the Holy Eucharist from its position of importance and replace it with the lotus cross. One has to be really careful and wary about the intention of replacing God with the scandalous cross.
